What is the HACCP program?
The HACCP program is an internationally recognized system of a systematic preventive approach to addresses food safety.
The system is based on thorough analysis and control of potential hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.
KGI Trading is regularly inspected by the state and the U.S. FDA to assure continuous HACCP compliance as well as having our own in-house HACCP team.
Examples of HACCP guidelines.
- On arrival, the temperature of each fish must measured & recorded. Any tuna with a recorded temperature higher than 40°F is rejected.
- All fresh fish products are to be iced down to maintain quality and kept in refrigerated storage.
- For refrigerated and freezer storage, temperatures are to be monitored 24/7 and all products must be well within HACCP Guidelines.

We also certify that appropriate quality-control monitoring procedures have been implemented and maintained to ensure food safety in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
