Since 1998, KGI Trading has been a leading distributor of seafood products for Japanese restaurant food specialists. We are committed to provide the highest quality of supplies that are processed with strict standard of sanitation, quality control, and safety. We receive all our products from vendors in compliance with the FDA HACCP program.

HACCP, Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points, is a system of internationally recognized systematic preventive approach to addresses food safety through the analysis and control of potential hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

KGI Trading Inc. is regularly inspected by the state and the US FDA to assure continued HACCP compliance as well as our designated HACCP Team who monitors HACCP compliance.

For example, our fresh fish products are controlled as below. 1. On arrival, the temperature of each fish is measured & recorded. Any tuna with a recorded temperature higher than 40°F is rejected.
2. All fresh fish products are iced down to maintain quality and kept in refrigerated storage.
3. For refrigerated and freezer storage, the temperatures are monitored 24/7 and products are kept well within HACCP Guidelines.

Further, we certify that appropriate quality control monitoring procedure has been enforced and maintained to ensure food safety in compliance with the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and proper Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s) as well as compliance with FDA HACCP program.
